If you have a lot of stuff at home, you would like to store this in something that is not only sturdy but also able to carry a lot of weight. This is the reason that one-ton storage bins were made which in fact is also used for other purposes. For that, agricultural, commercial and industrial companies will need a storage saving device that can carry more than that. But for the home, one ton is more than enough to hold your power tools, screws and even a few spare parts.

When you decide to have one at home, your primary concern should be about safety. These things normally don’t have locks so you should put this inside a tool shed under lock and key or place this high on a shelf or hung on a ceiling. For this to be placed on a high shelf, you have to be sure that the rack you are using can support the weight. It is advisable to use metal racks here because these are much stronger than wood.
