Many people across America are now deliberating on How To Choose The Best Snowblower. As our nation is engulfed in record snowstorms, some of which have totals not seen in over one hundred years, the popularity of snowblowers is quickly increasing. Many who would not have considered this purchase just three months ago are rushing out to buy one. Yet, before purchasing, you need to know some basic information about snowblowers and answer some basic questions to ensure you get the right machine for your needs.

One thing that you will need to know before purchasing a snowblower is how much snow your area usually gets. Take into consideration that this is an unusual year, but also realize that buying a machine that is too big is often better than buying one that is too small. If you often receive minimal snow, a single stage snowblower will meet your needs. If you are buried under snow for a good portion of the year, the two stage type will be required. For commercial use, only a giant snowblower will suffice.

Next, you will need to review your budget to see how much you can afford to spend. Prices on snowblowers can vary greatly depending on the features offered. Go with the best you can afford without breaking the bank. The goal of a snowblower is to make your life easier and added features can help you to accomplish this. While you are looking for a great value, you don’t want to skimp on essentials.

The size of the area you wish to clear also needs to be determined. The path of a snowblower varies greatly from machine to machine. Find one that allows you to finish the job with the fewest passes. Having to go over the same area again and again will frustrate you and discourage you from using your new equipment.

Now that you have some idea of How To Choose The Best Snowblower, start researching various models. Consider consumer reviews and ratings, information about troubleshooting, and opinions on how makes the best. Popular brands include Honda, Ariens, Toro and MTD. Once you have selected a few models, be sure to read a review of each model at more than one site. Too much information is always better than not enough when spending money. The ultimate goal of this purchase is to clear your snow quickly and easily without the use of a shovel. Purchasing the right model will do just that.

If you are tired of shoveling snow while the neighbor finishes his walks and driveway in minutes using his snow blower, you can stop spending all your free time with a snow shovel and have time for the things that you love by choosing a John Deere snow blower. There is a large selection of available models so you will be able to choose the size that is perfect for you.

This leading manufacturer of machinery around the world takes pride in its integrity and innovation. It offers customer loyalty but also recognizes the role of their staff.

John Deere produces both single-stage and dual-stage snow throwers. All new John Deere snow blowers feature Briggs and Stratton engines that are especially designed for easy starting during cold weather. These engines are quiet operating overhead cam engines that have higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions than other snow blowers.

A brand new feature for 2009 is the Push Button Chute Rotation. This feature allows you to rotate the chute 200 degrees without having to stop or take your hands off the hand grips by simply pushing a button. The feature is only available in selected models. In addition, the design of the open chute prevents clogging when the snow is wet or heavy.

You will also appreciate the fact that all Deere snow throwers now have an electric starter. This mean no more huffing and puffing with a pull rope in the cold.

Selected snow throwers models even offer heated handles that have two different heat settings for the handles. This will keep your hands warm on the coldest of days.

For additional durability, J. Deere snow throwers offers a gear case made of cast iron. The auger is made of serrated steel and is able to break up both snow and ice to clear the path like no other snow blower.

If you have to clear snow after dark or before daylight, the halogen headlight offers brilliant illumination to make the job easier.

The tires on the J.D. snow throwers have special X-track design which outperforms other tread tires. If you need additional traction, chains are available. The working height is easy to adjust by use of the moving the skid shoes.

All Deere snow blowers come with a two year warranty for residential customers (90 days for commercial use). Professional Model 1332PE comes with a 1 year commercial warranty.

There are a number of reasons for buying a petrol lawn mower over an electric one, despite the price tag. There is no cable to worry about with petrol lawn mowers, allowing greater freedom and eliminating the risk of cutting the cable by accident. They are much harder wearing and a good one should last for a good number of years before needing any intensive maintenance or replacing. They can even be used in the wet, which can be a godsend depending on your local weather. Mainly though is their power. If you have a large lawn to cut, especially if the grass has been left to grow for some time, the extra power makes a potentially irksome task relatively easy.

There are a huge variety of different makes and models available, some brands well known, trusted and respected, others less so. Prices vary considerably depending on the mower’s intended use, quality of design and workmanship and what extras or features are included. The bulk of the models available are intended for use in small to large gardens, as this accounts for the majority of consumers and many professional gardeners.

If you have a small to large garden and want to upgrade your electric lawn mower, the Draper Expert push petrol lawn mower is a popular choice from a trusted brand name. At a very reasonable price tag of under £250, you get the power of a 3.5 horse power four stroke engine that can run on unleaded petrol, reducing the running costs while still doing a great job of keeping your lawn under control.

If you can afford it the Honda HRX426 self propelled petrol lawn mower can make even lighter work of the lawn. For a somewhat less reasonable sounding price tag of just under £700, you get a mighty 5.5 horse power four stroke engine, and the peace of mind that comes with a seven year guarantee. Not to mention the absolute confidence in a machine designed by such a well known quality brand.

I grew up on a farm in which it took a day and a half to completely mow our entire property. Although it usually only got mowed once a month or every other weekend, it was a pretty big… well, pain in the butt really. One time our riding lawn mower broke down and my father made me mow the entire front lawn with a push lawn mower. I’m not sure how big the front yard was exactly, maybe a few acres, but it seemed like a pasture to a kid and took me the entire weekend. I vowed then that when I grew up, I was never going to mow my lawn, ever.

A few years ago I finally purchased my first home and guess what? I paid someone to mow my yard. But I did notice something, my neighbors who took care of their own grass, seemed to have a prettier lawn than me. So I decided to try doing it myself and found a new appreciation for yard work. It’s spiritual and relaxing and is a great way to get a nice tan also.

We own a pool also so there’s nothing like jumping in the pool after working up a sweat from mowing. One thing I wanted to try two years ago was different ways to get a greener lawn. I found something amazing; it’s called Miracle-Gro plant food. Many of you may have heard of it, actually if you’re reading this article you probably have. Although, many only thought it was plant or flower food and never considered using it on their lawn.

I purchased one of those lawn feeders that connect to a hose and slowly dissolve the Miracle-Gro as I spray it over the lawn. Two years ago I only used it about 6 times on my front lawn and noticed a little bit of difference. Last year I used it once a week and noticed a huge difference, especially the grass around our pool. My grass has never been greener.

You can use the plant food however they do make Miracle Gro specifically for the lawn now. Be warned though, you’ll have to mow sometimes even twice a week because you’re grass is going to grow fast! So be prepared. Sort of funny considering I swore I’d never mow my own lawn huh? Funny how things change isn’t it?
